This is what my crazy sunburn was from.

But I have been putting shea butter on it and its almost completely gone!

Over the weekend my gma, mom , sister and i went to a fondue place called the melting pot….

the meat comes out raw and you cook it in the broth that you chose. We had one with red wine and other stuff (bad memory) and   a Island one. Both were super yummy!

I forgot to get pictures of the appetizer which was cheese fondue. OH MY GOODNESS I LOVE CHEESE

It was fun… and my sister had some cool news to share with my gma..

Chocolate for Breakfast!

This mornings b-fast is CHOCOLATE!

Chobani champions now has a chocolate chunk vanilla greek yogurt! I am sure they have had it for  a while and Oklahoma is just now getting it! :/

Yesterday we had the inflatable obstacle course at work… I didn’t think it would get as hot as it did.. neither did my co-worker-

we also forgot sunscreen. ugh

Didn’t realize how white i got this winter until now. :(

At one point we laid in this  area and hide out from the sun.

I love me job!

Has anyone elses allergies just been kicking their rears this week? Mine was bad.. i loaded up on hebal tea with lemon and honey and laid around as much as possible (so did lo)

Wontons are everywhere!!!

Hey friends….

 

How many of you love pizza rolls? or egg rolls? or wontons? or tacos? 

Yup you can make all these with wonton wraps. 

I bought a pack of like 100 for $2.

Last night i rummaged through my fridge and found 

*turkey bacon

* onions

* peppers

* vodka sauce

Weird i know.

I cooked the ingredients

put them in the wontons, sprinkled a little mozzarella cheese on top.

Topped with another wonton

and cooked for 10 minutes on 350.

Weird combo but it was actually good!! go figure!

We heard it was so funny, and it looked great on the previews… total flop. 

There were funny parts but it was slightly depressing to be honest.

Happy Monday friends! 

I am slowly getting back into the groove of blogging! I really missed it!

This weekend at work we are hosting the 1st annual 5k and I am so excited!!!!

We are doing a lot of planning right now so I feel busy all the time. 

 

We puppy sat this little cutie this weekend!

He was so sweet. It did however sow me that I for sure do not want to try and potty train a new puppy while still in an apartment. way to hard. 

I have also been in wedding planning mode.. whoot whoot ( my cousins)

She is the sweetest bride ever! I just thought this was funny.

recent eats

Hey again!

I wanted to share some of my most recent eats and drinks…

I am still itchy ( i know you wanted to hear that!)

Here are a few fun things i have had lately.

Detox smoothie

detox smoothie recipe with step by step picture tutorial

1 1/4 cup Pineapple juice

 juice from 1/2 lemon juice

handful of spinach leaves

 1/4 teaspoon or so of grated ginger

Blend it and drink up! (it’s really yummy!!!)

Not really a “detox” but that is what it was called when i found the recipe. The ginger is great for your belly, and lemon juice is said to be good for digestion and skin. The pineapple juice has a ton of nutrients vitamin c and potassium!

I had this frozen pizza I was dying for pizza!

It is the Archer farms brand from Target.

Hey Friends!!

Hope you all had an amazing weekend!

I feel like i have so much to update everyone on! I will wait and drag out everything over a week though so i seem more important! :)

Well lets start by saying my wonderful cousin and former roommate is officially ENGAGED!!!!!!!

I am so excited for her.  Now its time to do some serious wedding planning! However as she was recieving a dimond ring i was recieving posion ivy. and yea the two are totally related.

If you are family and you are absolutely tired of hearing me whine about ho0w much iitch… go ahead and stop reading for about a week.

this sucks.

its itch

it burns

its miserable

i feel gross

and itchy

and miserable.

Needless to say i still have it. It WAS only on my face (i say that like its okay for it to be on my face)

I looked like a weird verision of Mike tyson for about a week.

It literally circled around one eye. i had to get a shot

and take medicene

now its almost completely cleared up on my face but it is somehow spread to my neckline/collarbone area.

and NO J I DIDNT SCRATCH IT. (well sort of)

Let me tell you the story……

So it was a pretty evening and Bacon (its my cousins boyfriends nickname-just go with it) drove out to their back pasture. They went for a walk to their pond out back

-little did she know about 30 minutes earlier i climbed up a tree stand in the area.

ohh so this is what being scared of heights feels like!!!

On the walk back up from the pond he turned her around and got down on one knee….

before he could say anything she spotted my in the tree stand and freaked out because some weirdo was hiding in a tree :)

long story short he proposed she said yes and i figured out the tree had posion ivy.

what a story.

 

now back to itching  

just call me ivy… poison ivy :)

oh why hello there

Hey bloggees!!

I am so sorry for the long lapse of blogness.

I needed some time to “refresh”.

Work has been keeping me really busy, and I kinda of got tired of the look of the blog. But still havent found the right “look” yet.  

Between those factors and a lack of a working camera, a “poison ivy” face, trying to switch back over to blogger(host site- still didn’t do it), redecorating my living room, and issues with my apartments…. lets just say there was little time to give a good blog post. 

I am still not 100% – still no working camera.  and My face(i promise to share the story with you soon) still looks like i was in a bar fight. 

But I have taken a much needed  break to remind myself why i started blogging and catch up on some of my favorite blogs. 

I promise over the next week I will get back in blogger mode and have great stories, pictures, recipes, and more for you!

Your eating what!?

Hey friends! How was everyone’s weekend?

The weekend recap will be later. Right now I want you to see my garden (or what is so far!)

 

Now here is a little tid bit of healthy info:

 

Lets take a look at your grains.

DO you eat white, wheat, whole grain, combo of all?

Ideally you should eat whole grain, or whole wheat.

Why not enriched white? Well let me put it simply… When you eat white bread, pasta, rice it is basically turned into sugar the moment it goes in your mouth. So your just increasing your sugar intake.

Your body doesn’t see it as a grain, in fact it has been stripped so much of nutrients just to make it white that there is nothing left ( hence why they have to enrich it)

 

Still enriched or not it is sugar. Your body sees it as a sugar.

So what do you do?

add whole grains to your diet. even if you have to do 1/2 and 1/2. Whole wheat, or whole grain will give you more nutrients as well as keep you full longer.  It will also add more fiber to your diet.
